VentureClef (ベンチャークレフ) はシリコンバレーに拠点を置く先端技術研究所で「Emerging Technology Review」を発信。VentureClefは米国ベンチャー企業が開発する先端技術の分析・解析レポートを発行。シリコンバレー・セミナーを開催し、先端技術を講義形式で報告。研究領域は、AI(人工知能)、自動運転車、ロボティックス、バイオテクノロジーの他に、クラウド、モバイル、量子コンピュータなどを対象とする。

Founder (会社代表)

宮本 和明（みやもと・かずあき）

広島県出身。大阪大学基礎工学部卒業後、富士通に入社。1985年、富士通関連会社Amdahl Corp. (カリフォルニア州サニーベール) に出向し、アメリカでスパコン事業の立ち上げに従事。2003年、富士通を退社し、リサーチ会社VentureClef (カリフォルニア州マウンテンビュー) を立ち上げ、アナリストとしてコンピュータ技術の最新動向を追う。シリコンバレーのベンチャー企業にフォーカスし、時代を変える技術の発掘と解析を行う。25年に及ぶアメリカでのキャリアを背景に技術トレンドをレポート。

Kaz Miyamoto

Kaz Miyamoto is President & Founder of VentureClef, a Silicon Valley research and advisory firm based in Mountain View, California that helps Japanese decision makers navigate emerging technologies moving from lab to market. A veteran technology analyst, he tracks frontier domains including artificial intelligence, autonomous vehicles, robotics, biotechnology, cloud/edge infrastructure, mobile platforms, and quantum technologies—translating global innovation signals into actionable market insight for Japan.

Kaz publishes the Japanese‑language blog Emerging Technology Review (etechnologyreview.com) and is the author of multiple technology strategy books in Japanese, including インターネット第2の波 (“The Second Wave of the Internet”), AIアプリケーション・レビュー (“AI Application Review”), and ビジネスのための機械学習とAIガイド (“Machine Learning & AI for Business”). He previously spent more than 20 years with the Fujitsu Group in Tokyo and Sunnyvale, California.
